Wilma Sue Shadd

Wilma Sue (Lambert) Shadd, 67, of Lincoln County, departed this life on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston, WV.

She was born March 2, 1952 in West Hamlin, WV, the daughter of the late Connie “Con” Lambert and Eve (Shelton) Lambert.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her daughter, Eva Mae Brumfield, one sister, Hester Vanatter, one brother, Bud Lambert and her sister-in-law, Anna Lambert.

Sue enjoyed singing, cooking and cleaning.

Those left to cherish her memory include one son, Bernie Odell Brumfield; five sisters, Bell Huffman, Lettie Mae Nelson, Carolyn Lambert, Donna Kay Roberts and Brenda Roof; one brother, Boyce Lambert; six grandchildren, Gregory Scott Brumfield, Joshua Lee Frye, Jody Nichols Frye, Bernie Odell Brumfield III, Morgan Faith Brumfield and Lindsie Hope Brumfield; she is also survived by, Rachael Farley, Steve Nelson, Nancy Lambert, Scotty Lambert, Adam Lambert and Josh Lambert.

Services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home with Jimmy Carter officiating. Burial will follow at the Everett Polly Browning Cemetery, Manns Knob, Little Harts, WV.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 from 6 - 9 pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jody Frye, Clyde Workman Jr, Robert “Bob” Nelson, Joshua Adkins, and John Cantrell.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
