William David Smith, 78 of Logan, WV, departed this life on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Trinity Health Care, Logan, WV.

He was born July 24, 1947, in the son of the late Bruce Jr. and Hazel Adams Smith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John E. Smith, and brother-in-law, Bruce Merritt.

William enjoyed four wheeling, model railroading, and especially music of which he had a large library of.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sister, Donna Merritt; brothers, Richard (Geneva) Smith and Ronald (Pamela) Smith; and sister-in-law, Olive Smith.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Freeman Funeral Home.
