William Thomas Christian

William Thomas Christian, 72 of Big Creek, WV, departed this life on Monday, May 25, 2026 at CAMC Memorial Hospital.

He was born January 5, 1954 in Hamlin, WV the son of the late McGinnis Willard Christian and Luranie (Dane) Wiley Christian.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters-in-law, Kathy Christian, Christina Christian, and Lillie Christian; brothers, McGinnis Christian Jr. and Keister Christian; nephews, Roger Ferrell, Larry Christian Jr., and Cory Combs Harts; niece, Luranie Whittington Milton and great-nephew, Ayden Kirk.

Tom enjoyed being with his loving wife, Shelia and his family, working on cars, and being outside with his beloved pets, Jasper and Ellie. Tom was a proud Veteran that devoted his life to providing for his family.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 50 years, Shelia Christian; daughter, Angie (Seth Curry) Christian; sons, William (Sarah Myers) Christian Jr. and Jonathan (Crystal) Christian; sisters, Ruby (Thomas) Dingess, Vennoria (Billy) Ferrell, LouAnn (Clevland) Combs, and Violet (Charles) Combs; brothers, Darrell Christian, Ruben Joe Christian, and Larry Christian; sister-in-law, Dale Christian; grandchildren, Cody (Samarah) Pridemore, Jacob (Arianna) Chapman, Jonathan Christian, Brooke Christian, and William Christian; great-grandchildren, Addison Pridemore and Oaklee Pridemore.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Freeman Funeral Home

Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, May 28, 2026 at Freeman Funeral Home with Jason Adkins officiating. Burial will follow at the Gartin-Browning Cemetery in Manns Knob, WV.

Pallbearers will be Cody Pridemore, Jonathan Christian, Jacob Chapman, Quincy Christian, Michael Christian, and William Christian.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Seth Curry.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
