William Harold Burke

William Harold Burke, 75, of Dingess, WV, went home to be with the Lord on May 31, 2021 at his residence.

He was born January 18, 1946 in Logan, WV, the son of the late French Burke and Mary Jane Gore.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Howard Gore, two sisters, Sue Burke Muncey and Mildred Burke Gore, and four brothers-in-law, William Kirk, Don Muncey, Marvin Gore and Roger Adkins.

Harold enjoyed traveling, 4-wheeling, spending time with his family and friends, sports, games and having fun and laughing. Harold was a good sweet man with a wonderful heart and a great personality. He always had a smile on his face and will be dearly missed and forever loved.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving children, William (Sheila) Burke and Natasha Vlock both of Ohio; two loving sisters, Virginia (Jack) Dempsey of Dingess and Rosetta (Benton) Spaulding of Richmond, KY; two beloved brothers, French (Peggy) Burke of Chapmanville and Eddie Burke of South Carolina; two grandchildren that call him Papaw Hands, Jamie and Cory; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loved family and friends.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, June 4, 2021 at the Dingess House of Prayer with Pastor Greg Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at the Burke Cemetery, Varney, WV.

Visitation will be on Thursday, June 3, 2021 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at church.

Pallbearers will be Billy Kirk, Larry Rockel, Brandon Walker, Chris Spaulding, Ben Spaulding and Keno Muncey.

Honorary pallbearers will be Cory Burke, Dallas Adams, Travis Burke, Eli Burke, and Scott Adkins.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
