Willard Damon “Ick” Gunther, 77, of Garrett Fork Road, Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on Monday, September 24, 2018 at Hillcrest Health Care Center, Danville, WV.
He was born January 1, 1941 in Logan, WV a son of the late Elbert Damon & Susie Gunther.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Sherry Stollings and one brother, Charles Harold Gunther.
Ick was a 1959 graduate of Chapmanville High School. He was a member of the Chapmanville Church of Christ and a member of the West Virginians for Life. Ick was a retired auto painter. He enjoyed spending time with Rocky, the community dog.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Sandy Gunther of Garrett Fork; one brother, Larry (Judi) Gunther of Little River, SC; brother-in-law, Dale (Laura) Stollings of Wayne, WV; Garrett Fork Family, Ronald & Linda Garrett, Veda Crum, and Nayola Garrett; and a host of special nieces, nephews, classmates and friends.

Entombment services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Highland Memory Gardens, Old Logan Road, Chapmanville, WV with Richard Runyon officiating.
Pallbearers will be his nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be Alvis Vance Jr, Ron Walker and Rodney Craddock.
