Wilda Sue Dalton Maynard, 79 of Huntington, WV, departed this life on February 9, 2025 at St. Mary's Medical Center, in Huntington, WV.

She was born March 10, 1945 in Harts, WV the daughter of the late Howard & Georgia Dingess Dalton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Don Dalton and Jimmy Dalton, one grandson, Aaron Keith Maynard and four brothers-in-law, Franklin Blair, Andy Mullins, Johnny Mullins and Bobby Casto.

Sue enjoyed sitting on her porch, cooking dancing and tending to her sunflowers.

Those left to cherish her memory include two sons, Carlos W. Maynard Jr and Brian Keith Maynard; eight sisters, Jessie Blair, Goldie Dalton, Alma Mullins, Leora (Lester) Mullins, Narlene Mullins, Kay Casto, Donna Dalton and Deanna (Ivan) Bryant; two brothers, Howard “Jr” (Patricia) Dalton and Sammy Dalton; two grandchildren, Shelby Maynard, and Carlos Maynard III; two great grandchildren, Nova and Bryson; and her sister-in-law, Karen Dalton.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, February 21, 2025 at Freeman Funeral Home with Jimmy Carter officiating. Burial will follow at the Highland Memory Gardens, Old Logan Road, Chapmanville, WV.

Visitation will be on Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
