Obituary
Wandell Ray Parker, 58 of Branchland, WV, departed this life on September 1, 2023 at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, WV.
He was born September 22, 1964 in West Hamlin, WV the son of the late Gilbert & Mary Parker.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Justine Neal, three brothers, Charlie Parker, Arlie Parker and Edzel Parker, and his father-in-law, Ken Moore.
Wandell enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on cars.
Those left to cherish his memory include his companion of 25 years, Lisa Cochran of Branchland; one step-son, Chip Cochran of Branchland; two step-daughters, Vickie Cochran and Christina Johnson both of Branchland; one sister, Norma Parker of Missouri; two brothers, Shannon (Joanie) Parker of Missouri and Ralph (Darlene) Parker of Michigan; six grandchildren, Benjamen Tabor, Hayden Johnson, Shianna Cochran, Hunter Cochran, Gracie Cochran and Jaxon Flowers; and his mother-in-law, Freda Moore.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at the Rakes Cemetery, Harts, WV with Jimmy Carter officiating.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 from 12:00pm until 1:00pm at Freeman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
