Wanda Lee Moore Kirk, 85 of Harts WV passed away October 24, 2024.

She was born August 8, 1939, daughter of the late Guy and Ruby Moore. Wife of the late Okey Talmadge Kirk.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son and daughter in law Kennith “Kenny” and Charrell Kirk, grandson Ayden Mathew Kirk and a special Aunt and Uncle Nola and Andrew Williamson who helped raise her.

Wanda was a devoted Christian and a lifelong member of Piney Community Church. She enjoyed going to church, working in her garden, canning and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Wanda was loved by all who knew her. She loved spending time with a special sister-in-law Carolyn Kirk, and nothing brightened her day more than having the Mitchells come to visit and talk with her.

She is survived by a sister Linda (Robert) Dingess of Southgate, MI. Her children Peggy (Red) Bowers, Herman (Lisa Ann) Kirk, Lisa (Gordon) Petry, Stephanie Darlene (Tommy) Maynard, Mark (Tonya) Kirk, and Barbara Kirk. Grandchildren Andy (Vanessa) Kirk, Nola (Alan) Raines, Jarred Kirk (Jobelle), Jimbob (Sue) Bowers, Ashley (Dustin) Bryant, Adam (Chassity) Kirk, Joshua (Tiffany) Kirk, Andrew (Tessa) Petry, Austin Petry (Emily), Jessica (Cole) Bell, McKinzie Maynard. Great grandchildren Salena (Josh) Messer, Sidney Kirk (Dakota), Brady Raines, Kelton (Alejandra) Bowers, Reagan Bowers, Garrett Bryant, Jack Bryant, Lyla Bryant, Harper Kirk, Kyleigh Kirk, Rylan Kirk, Grayson Bell and Oaklee Bell. Great-great grandchildren Ally Messer, Blake Messer, Kyran May Miles May and Hunner Bowers.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, Thursday, October 31, 2024 at Freeman Funeral Home with Manasses Hensley Jr and Adam Kirk Officiating. Burial will follow at the Lucian & Myrtle Kirk Family Cemetery Piney Fork Road, Harts WV.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 from 6:00pm until 10:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
