Vivian A. Ball Obituary

Vivian A. Ball, 81, of Danville, WV passed away in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by her loved ones, on April 2, 2025.

She was born on April 19, 1943, in Raleigh County to the late Jessie and Nannie Stollings.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James Ball; sisters, Edna Justice and Lucille Brown Adkins; brothers, Howard Stollings and Leonard Stollings (Ruth); and brother-in-law, Lindell Nelson.

Vivian was a devoted wife of 52 years to her husband, Jerry and a dedicated member of Lick Creek Community Church for more than 50 years where she cherished the many children she taught in Sunday School. She was always willing to lend a hand or offer a kind ear, and never let anyone leave her house hungry. She was a strong and resilient woman who was loved by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jerry Ball Sr.; daughter, April Ball; son, Jerry Ball Jr.; sister, Wanda Nelson; brother, Virgil Stollings (Pat); grandsons, Christian Ball and Noah Ball; great granddaughters, Everleigh Ball and Ellianna Ball; and so many nieces and nephews that she loved and cared for like a mother and grandmother.

Special mention to her great niece Olivia Nelson for being a loving caretaker and companion in the last year of her life; Vivian loved “that girl” very much.

Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Lick Creek Community Church in Danville, WV.

Service will be Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Lick Creek Community Church in Danville, WV with the Rev. Billy Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in Family Memorial Gardens, Madison, WV.
