Virgil Farley

Virgil Farley, 82, of Harts, WV, departed this life on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at his residence.

He was born September 26, 1938 in Harts, WV, the son of the late Tom and Tilda Farley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Maynard; brothers, Henry Farley, Robert “Bob” Farley, Thurman “Charles” Farley, Lawrence Farley, Larry “Marvin” Farley, Wayne Farley, James Farley, and Handy & Andy Farley; sisters, Eunice Adams and Noonie Farley; brother in law, Billy Spence; grandparents, Crocket & Mary Ann Farley and Isacc & Delphia Vanderpool; and his in-laws, John Michaloff and Beatrice Evans.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Alice Farley; seven daughters, Angie (Mike) Pape, Joyce (Thomas) Amerite, Mary (Douglas) Bryant, Regina (Scott) Ostrom, Lisa Farley, Cathy Bartram, and Sonya Dingess; one son, Virgil Farley Jr.; three sisters, Inis Lowe, Daisy (Willy) Stevenson, and Amanda Spence; brothers, Richard (Tammy) Farley; grandchildren, Shawna, Jason, Branda, Robert, Kimberly, Amber, Jessica, Jeffery, Daniel, Erica, Caitlyn, Brian, Rebekah, Marissa, and Adam; along with 19 great-grandchildren.

Special thanks to Dignity Hospice, Thomas, Kaitlyn, and Jessica. Thank you for everything you did for Dad. Along with a special thanks to Travis and Angel Mullins for everything and everyone who sent prayers, flowers, and food..Love you all!

Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Freeman Funeral Home with Jimmy Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Farley Cemetery, Harts, WV.

Visitation will be on Thursday, April 22, 2021 from 12:00 pm til 1:00 pm at Freeman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Douglas Bryant, Scott Ostrom, Richard Farley, Jason Finley, Randy Adams, Timmy Adams, Chucky Farley, and Tim Farley. Honorary Pallbearers will be Colton Romans, Hunter White, and Auston White, Dakota Maynard, and Daniel Jr Finley.
