Veronica Crabtree, 68 of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on April 30, 2025 at her residence.

She was born May 23, 1956 in Bruno, WV the daughter of the late Jessie James and Edith Grace Rose.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Crabtree and her father and mother-in-law, Lawrence and Madeline Crabtree.

Veronica loved reading, crocheting and spending time with her family.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Amy (Adam) Hensley of Chapmanville; son, Tommy “TJ” Crabtree of Charleston; sisters, Gladys Harvey, Vanchie Blankenship and Annie Trivizas; brothers, John Rose, Pribble Rose, Marlen Ellis and Richard Rose; grandchildren, Sierra Canterbury, Jerry “JD” Grimmett and Kaylie Crabtree; great grandchildren, John Canterbury, Liam Canterbury and Elijah Canterbury.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, Monday, May 5, 2025 at Freeman Funeral Home with Jerry Bryant officiating. Burial will follow at the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pecks Mill, WV.

Visitation will be on Monday, May 5, 2025 from 12:00pm until 1:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
