Truman Adkins, Jr, 72 of Lake, WV, departed this life on July 21, 2025 at his residence.

He was born April 10, 1953 in Logan, WV, the son of the late Truman & Edna Adkins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Terrie Dickerson.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Wilma Hall Adkins; three children, Cynthia (Robert) Dent, Kristy Adkins and Jonathan (Nicole) Adkins; nine grandchildren, Charity (Trace) Chafin, Caleb Dent, Abigail (Joey) Messer, Emily, Rebekah, Hope and Eden Dent, Roxy Lucas and Lillian Adkins; one great grandson; Cole Messer; three sisters, Deloris Sampson, Billie Adams and Jerri Knisley; a special great niece, Maisyn Kate Lester; and a host of other family and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 12:00pm, Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pecks Mill, WV with Robert Dent officiating.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 24, 2025 from 11:30am until 12:00pm at the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Freeman Funeral Home to help with arrangements.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
