Tivis Richards

Tivis Richards, 86, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on Sunday, April 26, 2020 at his sister’s residence. 

He was born December 3, 1933 in Chapmanville, the son of the late Warren and Lena Stollings Richards. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Nettie Wallace and Donna Miller, two brothers, Ransome Richards and Homer Richards and a special nephew, Gary Richards. 

Tivis enjoyed hunting, farming and all his animals. 

Those left to cherish his memory include two sisters, Nellie Conley and Magdalene Browning; two brothers, Cletis Richards and Leroy Richards; a special nephew, Clint Richards; and a host of nieces and nephews. 

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at the Hensley Cemetery, Chapmanville, WV with Ricky Conley officiating.  

Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 from 12:00 – 1:00 pm at the cemetery. 

Pallbearers will be his family. 

Due to the CDC and the State's recent mandate on public gatherings, related to COVID-19, only 10 people or less are permitted at the services.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
