Thomas Howard VanNatter, 92 of Harts, WV, departed this life on May 17, 2026 at the The Logan Center.

He was born April 14, 1934 in Big Ugly, WV the son of the late Howard and Ester VanNatter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol VanNatter and one daughter, Lisa VanNatter.

Thomas enjoyed being with his family and chasing his puppies around the house.

Those left to cherish his memory include his two daughters, Donna Daughtery and Rhonda Hammer; one son, Thomas VanNatter Jr; sisters, Sedra Brown and Phylis Horne; eight grandchildren, Matthew, Joshua, Amber, Timothy, Christopher, Rachael, Chandler and Jacob; and four great-grandchildren, Emily, Arabella, Peyton and Kendrick; great-great grandson, Julian Runyon.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, Thursday, May 21, 2026 at Freeman Funeral Home with President Jared Justice officiating. Burial will follow at the VanNatter Cemetery, Harts, WV.

Visitation will be from 12:00pm-1:00pm on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
