Thomas Monroe Muncy Sr

Thomas Monroe Muncy Sr., 63, of Dingess WV, departed this life on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Gulf Coast Hospital in Fort Myers FL.

He was born January 4, 1955 in Logan WV a son of Fredrick (Ada Mae) Muncy and the late Nancy Muncy of Dingess WV.

In addition to is mother he was preceded in death by one sister, Lenora Canterbury.

Thomas enjoyed Motorcycles and was a veteran he also volunteered at the VA center .

Those left to cherish his memory include one daughter, Sabrina Muncy of Chapmanville WV; two sons, Thomas Muncy Jr. of Chapmanville WV and Daniel (Caressa) Muncy of Kermit WV; five sisters, Linda (Jim) Hutchison of Barboursville WV, Debbie (Rick) Rockel of Coal Grave OH, Lisa (Rick) Shirley of Huntington WV, Edna (David) Browning of Georgia and Elizabeth Canterbury of Dingess WV; one brother, Fred Canterbury of Dingess WV; four grandchildren, Haleigh Muncy, Harper Muncy of Kermit WV, Keo Cannon of Chapmanville WV, and Alaric Muncy of Chapmanville WV and a host of neices, nephews and friends.

Services will be held at 12:00pm, Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Mt. Hope Freewill Baptist Church with Darrell Newsome officiating. Burial will follow at Muncy Cemetery in Dingess WV.

Friends may call Wednesday, July 18, 2018 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Mt. Hope Freewill Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be T.J. Muncy, Daniel Muncy, James “Bubby” Hannah, David Vance, Fred Canterbury and Paul Rockel.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
