Thearmon Green, 93 of Jeffrey, WV formerly of Crooked Creek WV, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 24, 2026 at his residence.

He was born March 28, 1933 in Crooked Creek, WV to the late Jay Green and Gracie Smith Green.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sybil Green and his wife of 22 years, Fay Green. Along with his ten siblings; Loretta Green, Kenneth (Bessie) Green, Viola (Walter) Kistner, Mildred (John) Miracle, Thelma (John) Blevins, Bertha (Hugh) Workman, Robert (Della) Green, Ray (Virginia) Green, Arbra (Polly) Green, Obra (Polly) Green.

Thearmon loved singing for the Lord at Jeffrey Church of God where he attended. He liked spending time with his beloved canine and companion, Blackie, and feeding the ducks at his house. He also enjoyed sitting around cutting paper and watching Andy Griffith. He enjoyed wrestling and most of all, he loved being outdoors where he was often seen mowing grass and sitting on the swing. He retired in 1998 after 24 years from his favorite job, The WV Department of Transportation (State Road.)

Those left to cherish his memory include his step daughter, Drema (Freddie) Hannah and step son, Scottie Adkins, and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 from 12:00-1:00pm at Freeman Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, April 29, 2026 at Freeman Funeral Home with Billy Phillips and Mike Rollins officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Mark Pack, Sam Pack, Kenny Ray Green, Freddie Hannah, Scottie Adkins, and Ricky Adkins.

Honorary pallbearers will be Willie Pack and Scott Pack.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
