Teddy “Tiny” Varney, 71 of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on June 10, 2025 at St. Mary's Medical Center, in Huntington, WV.

He was born November 17, 1953 in Madison, WV the son of the late Grady & Marcella Varney.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Joey Varney and one sister, Peggy Slazo.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Julia Varney; six brothers, Gary Varney of Chapmanville, Eddie (Joyce) Varney of Ohio, Grady (Velva) Varney of Kentucky, Timothy (Karman) Varney of North Carolina, James (Delorise) Varney of Spencer, and Mark (Jackie) Varney of Chapmanville; one sister, Gwendolyn (Morris) Barker of Ohio; and one special cousin, James Surgoine.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Freeman Funeral Home with Michael Browning officiating. Burial will follow at the Dalton Cemetery, Harts, WV.

Visitation will be on Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Blake Vance, Ernie Lambert, Josh Vance, Kevin Manns, Ernest Lambert Sr and Carl Byrge.
