Tammy Lea Brumfield Adkins, 64 of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on October 24, 2025 at her residence.

She was born July 15, 1961 in Logan, WV the daughter of the late Dewy D. Brumfield and Evelyn Clay Brumfield.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, Kenneth Adkins, son, Kenneth Adkins Jr, granddaughter, Haley Adkins, brothers, Charlie and Larry Brumfield, sister, Sharon (James “Rusty”) Bailey, and her fathers and mothers-in-law, Raymond and Thelma Adkins and Eddie and Lilly Gillman.

Tammy loved her family; her life revolved around her children and grandchildren. She was always up for anything and loved family gatherings and Christmas.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Brittany (James) Michael; son, Mike (Ashley) Adkins; daughter-in-law, Amanda Sargent Adkins; grandchildren, Cameron (Greta) Frye, Carson Frye, Cade Frye, Ian Farley (Heaven Scott), Brayden Farley, Laci Adkins (Colby Collins) and Elaina Michael; her great grandchildren, Rowen & Rhett Frye who was her world and Bentley Farley; sisters, Dorothy (Bo) Ellis and Melody Bryant; brother, David (Melinda) Brumfield; special sister-in-law, Viola Adkins; two special brothers-in-law who was always there in a time of need, Donald and Dennis Adkins; her beloved fur baby and sidekick, Bella; and a host of special friends, work friends and brothers and sisters-in-law.

Services will be held at 7:00pm, Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Freeman Funeral Home with Eric “Tubby” Rakes officiating.

Visitation will be on Sunday, November 2, 2025 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
