Sylvia Jane Vance

Sylvia Jane Vance, 69 of Harts, WV, departed this life on March 27, 2020 at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, WV.

She was born October 17, 1950 in West Hamlin, WV the daughter of the late Edgar McCloud and Clista Stollings McCloud.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Daniel Orson Vance; three grandchildren, four brothers, Gary McCloud, Raymond McCloud, David McCloud and Homer McCloud, one sister, Marlena Watts, and her in laws, Robert “Bob” Vance and Velva Vance.

Sylvia loved going to church and spending time with her family. She also loved spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. Sylvia loved rummage sales and goodwill.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Rev. Moses Vance; one daughter, Eliza Vance; two sons, Robert “Bob” Vance and his wife Rhonda and William David Vance and his wife Heather; daughter in law, Sis Vance; grandchildren, Danielle Vance (Brandon Bryant), Daniel Vance Jr, Devin Vance, Robert “Lil Bob” Vance, Hannah Vance, Joshua, Alia, and Jeremiah Vance; three brothers, Mose McCloud, Hillard McCloud and Luther George McCloud; and three sisters, Vada McCloud, Carol Aldridge and Geneva Spry.

Services will be held at 12:00 pm, Monday, March 30, 2020 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Lane and Rev. Charles Rakes officiating. Burial will follow at the Robert & Velva Vance Cemetery, Harts, WV.

Friends may call Sunday, March 29, 2020 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
