Stephen Workman

Stephen Workman, 63 of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on November 8, 2023 at Genesis Logan Center, Logan, WV.

He was born July 8, 1960 in Logan, WV the son of the late Herman & Betty Workman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eli & Cynthia Workman and Edward & Viola Johnson, two brothers, Ernie Workman and Larry Workman, brothers-in-law, Vic Ingram and Mike Noel, sister-in-law, Audrey Blankenship, and his father & mother-in-law, Clyde & Marie Curry.

Stephen enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles and playing video games. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Stephen was proud of both of his grandsons.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 35 years, Lori Workman of Phico, WV; stepdaughter, Shelly (Frankie) Gillman of Lenore, WV; sister, Wanda Workman White (Dennis) of Virginia Beach, VA; two grandchildren, Skyler Gillman and Nathaniel Gillman both of Lenore; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Joyce Ingram, Mary (Kevin) Collins, Jackie (Danny) Scaggs, Rick (Melanie) Curry, and Juanita Noel; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Sunday, November 12, 2023 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at Freeman Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, November 13, 2023 at the funeral home with James Ed Baisden officiating. Burial will follow at the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pecks Mill, WV.

Pallbearers will be his family, friends and co-workers.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Freeman Funeral Home to help with arrangements.
