Stanley Gene Marcum Sr., 77 of Dingess, WV, departed this life on March 16, 2025, at Dingess, WV.

He was born March 12, 1948, in Dingess, WV, the son of the late Flem and Dixie Marcum.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ed Marcum and Flem Marcum Jr.; sister, Oretha Oldham; and father & mother-in-law, John and Grapel Whaley.

Stanley loved spending his days with his wife, Judy, and his family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being in the outdoors. He was retired coal miner and loved being in the house of the Lord.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Judy Marcum; three sons, Tim (Lisa) Deramcy, Stanley (Amber) Marcum Jr. and Charley (Amy) Marcum; five sisters, Linda (Roger) Marcum, Brenda (Earsel) Vance, Joyce (Bill) Easterday, Freda (Dallas) Belcher and Phyllis (Bob) Whaley; nine grandchildren, James (Michelle) Marcum, Haiden Deramcy, Chelsey (Brian), Gabriel (Stephanie) Marcum, Stanley (Hanna) Marcum, Charles (Abby) Marcum, Samantha (Austin) Baker, Hayle (Kobe) Fouch and Garrytt Marcum; and a host of great grandchildren whom he adored.

Services will be held at 12:00pm, Friday, March 21, 2025, at Cornerstone Christian Center Dingess, WV with Eddie Smith and Robbie May officiating. Burial will follow at the Marcum-Deskins Family Cemetery, Dingess, WV.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at the Cornerstone Christian Center.

Pallbearers will be Gabriel Marcum, Stanley Marcum, Charles, Marcum, Garrytt Marcum, Todd, Marcum, Michael Marcum and Desmond Marcum.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
