Stacie Lynn Burgess Obituary

Stacie Lynn Burgess, 49 of South Charleston, WV, gained her heavenly wings on October 11, 2025 at Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston, WV after a long battle with cancer.


She was born August 21, 1976 in Logan, WV the daughter of Janet Sue Burgess and the late Russell Keenis Burgess.


In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jessie James & Polly Ruth Ann Burgess, James Lawrence & Tasie Ellen Yates.


Stacie gave her life to the Lord and loved the Lord very much. She attended the Monclo Freewill Baptist Church and the Church of Nazarene of Madison and enjoyed reading her Bible. She loved and touched so many people, family, friends, nurses and doctors that took care of her. Stacie had so many great qualities about her, she loved with her whole hearts, she was so strong and was a fighter. Stacie was very protective of her family and friends. She was a mother to her two sons, a sister, partner, and friend to so many. Her son wanted to say he loved her and cared deeply for her as she did them. Stacie fought her battle with cancer with faith and strength, in the end she won her battle in Heaven. She loved watch Everyone Loves Raymond, even if mom did not like it. She also loved watching scary movies with Weasle, he was like a brother to her. Bradley and her boys were her world and has always said love you to the moon and stars and back.


In addition to her mother, those left to cherish her memory include her two sons, Brayden Klingensmith and Branden Klingensmith; her lifelong partner, Brad Klingensmith; sister, Jamie (Dave) Burgess; two brothers-in-law, Brian Klingensmith, Les (Lisa) Klingensmith; father-in-law, Lester Klingensmith; mother-in-law, Rebecca Klingensmith; three nephews, Logan (Katie) Mullins, Jacob Mooney and Christian Klingensmith; one niece, Hailey Klingensmith; one great niece, Kailan Mullins; one great nephew, Grayson Mullins; two special cousins, her little brother Scottie “Weasel” Adkins and Timmy Stone; and many more cousins, other family and friends.


Stacie was loved by many and will be missed.


In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Freeman Funeral Home to help with arrangements.


Services will be held at 12:00pm, Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Freeman Funeral Home with Joe Lane, Dennie Evans and Ginger Dials officiating. Burial will follow at the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pecks Mill, WV.


Visitation will be on Friday, October 17, 2025 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at the funeral home.


Pallbearers will be Logan Mullins, Milliard Burgess, Larry Burgess, Raymond Booth, Ricky Burgess, Roger Burgess and Ricky Adkins.


Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
