Obituary
Sidney Clifton “Shorty” White, 85 of Pecks Mill, WV departed this life on August 18, 2023 at his residence.
He was born July 13, 1938 in Logan, WV the son of the late Doc and Ebble Katherine White.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Armilda Blevins; and three brothers, Joseph Ray White, Jerry White, and Lonnie White.
“Shorty” never met a stranger. He could usually be found set up at a flea market where his tables were always full of friends just hanging out.
Those left to cherish his memory include three children, Doreen Ellis, Bruce (Betty) White, and Billy White all of Pecks Mill, WV; four grandchildren, Xandria White, Eric (Heaven) Blankenship, Carl (Kendra) Blankenship, and Carolyn (Carl) Bryant; and four great-grandchildren, Felicity, Lexus, Serenity, and Matthew. Shorty leaves behind many nieces and nephews along with a host of extended family and friends.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 from 6:00 to 9:00pm at Freeman Funeral Home.
Services will be held at 12:00pm, Wednesday, August 23, 2023 with Rocky Chafin officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Garden, Chapmanville, WV.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
