Shane Matthew Adkins

Shane Matthew Adkins, 32, of Mudfork, WV, departed this life on August 27, 2020 at CAMC General, Charleston, WV.

He was born January 15, 1988 in Charleston, WV, the son of Thomas Adkins of Omar and Evelyn Combs of Mudfork.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Timothy Hanna; his grandparents, Orville and Genavi Bryant; one brother, Kenny Bryant; and one uncle, Ronnie Bryant.

Shane enjoyed being in the country, fishing with his son Josiah, and crafting with his daughter Miranda. He loved fixing his truck with his daughter Savannah.

In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Melissa Victoria Adkins of Cleveland, OH; his children, Josiah, Jeremy, Aerionna and Journey; stepdaughters, Miranda Hall and Savannah Hall; sister, Kimberly Hoff; brothers, Timothy Hanna, Shane “Eddie Joe” Collins, Jonathan Reynolds, Clint Perry, and Steven Vance of N.C.; and his in-laws, James F. Dean of Delbarton and JoAnne Petrella of Cleveland.

Services will be held at 12:00 pm, Monday, August 31, 2020 at Freeman Funeral Home with Van Collins officiating.

Visitation will be on Monday, August 31, 2020 from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at the funeral home.
