Scott Harold Bentley Obituary

Scott Harold Bentley, 60 of Logan, WV, departed this life on August 24, 2024 at his residence. 


He was born December 30, 1963 in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Otis and Dottie Bentley. 


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents Louis and Vernia Bentley and Sidney and Dixie Stollings, his father-in-law Sherman Crum, sister Rhonda Vanover; and brother Timmy Bentley. 


Scott enjoyed working in the garage “piddling around”. He enjoyed racing and anything with a motor, going to his cabin to hunt and fish. He was a wonderful family man who loved spending most of his time with his grandkids and family. 


Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Terri Bentley, one daughter Andrea (Dennis) Fletcher; one son, Zack (Hali) Bentley; mother-in-law, Peggy Crum; two grandchildren, Parker and Braxtyn Fletcher, and baby Bentley on the way, and a host of other friends he has met and worked with over the years. 


Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Freeman Funeral Home. 


Services will be held at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rick Conley officiating. Burial will follow at the Highland Memory Garden. 


Pallbearers will be family and friends. 


Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
