Sandra Kay Johnson

Sandra Kay Johnson, 73 of Branchland, WV, departed this life on April 23, 2023 at the Lincoln Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Hamlin, WV.

She was born March 10, 1950 in Warsaw, IN the daughter of the late Everett Marion Baney & Lucy Belle Lockridge Baney.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Karissia Johnson, grandparents, Ross & Tessa Baney and Leslie & Vera Metz Lockridge, two brothers, Charles Baney and Donald Lockridge, one niece, Kristie Lockridge and her father and mother-in-law, Alvie Johnson & Lillie Hodges.

Sandra enjoyed trips with her mom, cooking, yard sales and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Donald H. Johnson; three daughters, Rachael (Raymond) Kelley, Dedra (Christophere) Toppings and Amy Sills (Brent Folkner); grandchildren, Robert (Jessica) Johnson, Ashli (Zachary) Miller, Schylar Kelley, Jaela-Anne (Mikey) Saddler, Laiylah Kelley, Braelynn Kelley, Kayson Toppings, Kerrington Toppings, Kaidon Toppings, Patricia (Rodney) Phillips, Jessica (Joe) Scarberry, Marissia Sills, Katelyn Sills, and Josh Sills; great grandchildren, Chelsie Johnson, Khloe Johnson, Robert “RJ” Johnson, Jr, Rayleigh Hazelett, Gunner Salmons, Gracie Phillips, Ryleigh-Anne Phillips, Hunter Moore, Cameron Thomas, Breanna Phillips, Tyson Miller, Skylynn Miller and Maria Sadler; great-great grandchild, Khamia Brown; and a host of other loving family members.

Services will be held at 7:00pm, Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rodney Linville officiating. Burial will be at the Drakes Fork Cemetery in Cravens, LA.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home.

Services will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, April 29, 2023, at the Drakes Fork Cemetery Church, Craven, LA with Brother Hardy Estes officiating, with visitation from 1:00pm – 2:00pm.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
