Ruth R. Farley, 53 of Harts, WV, departed this life on April 10, 2026 at Southern Ohio Medical Center.

She was born August 27, 1972 in Logan, WV the daughter of the late Ervin Phillips and Vivian Wash Porter.

She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Jr. Swan

Ruth enjoyed word search puzzles, watching Lifetime movies, putting puzzles together, and spending time with family.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Danielle (Mike) Porter; sons, Homer Swan and Jessie Swan; nieces and nephews, Breanna Phillips, Ryleighann Phillips, Grace Phillips, Hailey Phillips, Alvin Phillips, Arabella Phillips, and Josh Phillips; her step-father, James Porter; grandchildren, Mary Tackett, Xavier Porter, Miabeth Porter, and Blake Swan; brothers, Alvin Phillips, Rodney Phillips, and Ervin Lee Philips; special cousins, James Phillips, Johnathan Phillips, and Roselynn Elkins.

Visitation will be on Monday, April 20, 2026 from 6:00-9:00 PM at Freeman Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 12:00, Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at Freeman Funeral Home with Barney Goins officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Pecks Mill, WV.

Pallbearers will be Rodney Phillips, Alvin Phillips, Lee Phillips, James Phillips, Jonathan Phillips.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Homer Swan and Jesse Swan.
