Rodney “Pepsi Man” Kitchen, 68 of Whitman, WV departed this life on April 9, 2026 at his residence.

He was born March 20, 1958 in Logan, WV the son of Goldina Vermillion Kitchen and the late Andrew “Jack” Kitchen.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Leonard Dalton and mother-in-law Jewell Dalton both of Harts, WV.

Rodney loved being in church, watching the birds, being with his children, grandchildren, and great-grand baby. He retired after 34 years of faithful service at the Pepsi Cola Bottling Company at Stollings, WV as a driver serving in several areas. He was loved by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Kathy Dalton Kitchen of Whitman, WV; his daughers Randi Jewell Conley of Whitman, Olivia LaShea (Carmelo) Pansera of Clarksville, TN. His son, Arnold Jennings (Crissy) Mullins of Logan, WV. Sisters, Teresa Fisher of Logan, WV and Jacqueline (Mark) Kitchen of Carmi, IL. Brother, Willard (Sandra) Kitchen of West Logan, WV. Grandchildren, Kylee Jo Mullins, Beau Jennings Mullins of Logan, WV, Michael Paul (Kearston) Maynard II, Chloe Beth Maynard, and Violet Reign Maynard of Henlawson, WV. One great grandchild Ivy Moon Maynard also of Henlawson. Good friends, Robert Runyon, Taylor Tomblin, Chadd Adkins, and Kim and Vince Orso. Special brother-in-law Paul Dalton. Special friend and brother, Bill Craddock. He is also survived by a host of wonderful nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be on April 16, 2026 from 12:00pm to 1:00 pm at the Freeman Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, April 16, 2026 at Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Bryant officiating. Burial will follow at the Dalton Cemetery in Harts, WV.

Pallbearers will be Bill Craddock, Kevin Manns, Carl Byrge, Josh Vance, Ernie Lambert, and Blake Vance.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Paul Dalton and Michael Paul Maynard II.
