Robert “Toe” Lucas, 78 of Ranger, WV, departed this life on October 21, 2024 at Cabell Huntington Hospital.

He was born February 11, 1946 in Ranger, WV the son of the late Robert (Bob) Lucas and Lula Belle Lucas.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Toe was a member of Mount Calvary Freewill Baptist Church for over forty years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family. Toe worked as a machinist for over forty years. He also enjoyed spending time with his loved ones and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 55 years, Valiery Lucas; daughter, Sandra (John) Henson; two sons, Robert Lucas Jr. and Stephen (Tara) Lucas; two sisters, Jean (Ed) Chambers and Fanny Zimmerman; one brother, Rafe Lucas; grandchildren, Sara (Nick) Scott and Grayson Lucas, Robert also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, brother in laws, and sister in laws.

Visitation will be on Sunday, October 27, 2024 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the funeral home.

Services will be held at 12:00 PM, Monday, October 28, 2024 at Freeman Funeral Home with Ernie Vance and Bennie Dean officiating. Burial will follow at the Lucas Cemetery in Ranger, WV.

Pallbearers will be Brian Napier, Jason Shelton, John Henson, Nick Scott, Matthew Shelton, Michael Shelton, and Trey Hartman.
