Ricky Kinser, Sr. Obituary

Ricky Kinser, Sr., 66 of Ridgeview, WV, departed from us on Monday, January 5, 2026, at his home.


He was born December 8, 1959, in Logan, WV, the son of Eleanor Kinser and the late Alfred Kinser.


In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 31 years, Clara June Kinser and one brother, Ward Kinser.


Ricky enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading his bible, and spending time with his family.


In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memory include his three children, Ricky (Mary) Kinser II, Franklin (Mary) Payne and Amanda (James) Perez; four sisters, Debbie Ferguson, Joan (Chris) Johnson, Cherry (Dennis) Brandt and Christis (Bo) Chafins; four brothers, Rodney “Hoss” Kinser, Al Kinser, Rusty (Igna) Kinser and Rowdy (Lisa) Kinser; eight grandchildren, Makayla, Ward, Hunter, John “JD”, Eric “Bubba”, Hannah (Devin), Franklin and Abagail; two great grandchildren, Adelyn and Haisley; and a host of family and friends.


Services will be held at 1:00pm, Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Red Tool House Church with Jerry Runyon officiating. Burial will follow at the Red Tool House Cemetery, Yawkey, WV.


Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at the church.


Pallbearers will be family and friends.


Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
