Ricky Adkins

Ricky Adkins, 58, of Harts, WV, departed this life on June 17, 2022 at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston, WV.

He was born November 3, 1963 in Leet, WV, the son of Lucille Adkins and the late Samp Adkins.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harrison & Greta Adkins, and Leroy & Ethel Lovejoy, great-nephews, Earl Toney and Nichols Woodrum, great-niece, Pyper Adkins and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Webb & Inez Gillenwater.

Ricky enjoyed working and loved his job and helping others.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Ella Hazel Adkins; three sons, Little Ricky Adkins, Shannon Adkins and Nathan Adkins; six brothers, Danny (Lori) Adkins, David (Mary Sue) Adkins, Gary (Nancy) Adkins, Ronald (Peggy) Adkins, Glen (Becky) Adkins, and Mickey (Charlene) Adkins; special popaw to Adrianna, Alexander and Addyson; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Sunday, June 26, 2022 from 12:00pm until 1:00pm at Freeman Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Freeman Funeral Home with Allen Goodman officiating. Burial will follow at the Adkins Cemetery, Big Ugly, Harts, WV.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
