Rickey Dale Vickers

Rickey Dale Vickers, 54, of Big Creek, WV, departed this life on Monday, June 3, 2019 at CAMC General Hospital.

He was born June 12, 1964 in Logan, WV, a son of the late Donald and Betty Vickers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Laura and Gloria, one brother, Phillip and one sister-in-law, Anna Vickers.

Rickey enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and spending time with family.

Those left to cherish his memory include his companion, Judy Steele of Big Creek; one daughter, Ashley Vickers (James Jackson) of Indianapolis, IN; two sons, Curtis (Alicia) Vickers of Indianapolis and Rickey Rose of Kentucky; one sister, Dottie (Greg) Rodney of Danville; four brothers, Robert (Anita) Vickers of Big Creek, Mike Vickers of Chapmanville, James Vickers of Big Creek and Berthol Vickers of Logan; four grandchildren, Adrienne O'Dell, Logan Jackson, Levi Jackson and Dallas Vickers all of Indianapolis; the mother of his children, Mary Vickers of Indianapolis; a host of beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and twelve grandchildren of Judy's that he loved dearly.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home with John Godby officiating. Burial will follow at the Lucas Cemetery, Big Creek, WV.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 from 11 am – 1 pm at the the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Mike, Berthol, JD, Robert, Curtis and Ashley.
