Rick D. Hughes

Rick D. Hughes, 55, of Mt. Gay, WV, departed this life on October 23, 2021 at Logan Regional Medical Center.

He was born February 8, 1966 in Logan, WV, the son of the late Claude and Gracie Hughes.

Rick enjoyed hanging out with his friends.

Those left to cherish his memory include his companion, Yvonne Sammons; one sister, Sandra Lee; two step-sons, Josh Jones and Brandon Jones; one step-grandchild, Zane Jones; two step-great grandchildren, Kason Johnson and Aiden Jones; and one sister-in-law, Leah Jones.

Services will be held at 12:00pm, Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Freeman Funeral Home with Jimmy Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Old Logan Road, Chapmanville, WV.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 11:00am until 12:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Josh Jones, Brandon Jones, Sean Jones, Richard Dameron, Tyrone Hunt and Terry Shepherd.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bo Fields.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
