Richard Dale Williams Jr., 35 of Dingess, WV, departed this life on November 19, 2024, at Ohio State University Hospital.

He was born June 2, 1989, in Logan, WV, the son of Richard and Donna Williams.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Dale Williams; maternal grandparents, Charles and Edna Marcum; and aunt, Mary Ooten.

Richard enjoyed hunting, playing guitar, working as a lineman for Frontier Communications, riding, mushroom hunting, and he was full of life. He always said, “It is what it is” and “What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger.”

In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory include his companion, Alex Leymeister and her son, Phoenix Leymeister; paternal grandmother, Reba Dingess; sister, Jessica (Curtis) Wiley; nephews, Hayden Wiley and Harlen Wiley; aunt, Garnet Williams-Castle; uncle, Dwayn Johnston and Charles Eddie Marcum Jr.; two special cousins, Justin Johnson and Kaleb Damron; and a host of family, friends, and coworkers.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Freeman Funeral Home with C. D. Wolford officiating.

Visitation will be on Saturday, November 30, 2024, from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at the funeral home.
