Retha Gail Workman, 63 of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Logan Regional Medical Center.

She was born August 3, 1962 in Logan, WV the daughter of the late Harry Trickler and Avonell Trickler.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Willie Berry and Sadie Berry; sister Debra Wilson; granddaughter, Shaelynn Workman; son-in-law, James Ball; and fiance, Patrick Farley.

Retha loved spending time with her kids and grand babies. She loved reading the Bible and attending church when she could. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren Shaelynn, Alissa, Navaeh, Jaxon, Serenity, Nathan, Cody, Chase (Deidra) Hicks, and Jaylee Jenkins. She enjoyed the time she spent with her daughter-in-law, Angel and she loved her kids with everything in her. She loved being a mother and nana.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Lavona (Darren) Nelson, Kimberly (Edwin) Copeland, and step-daughter, Liddia (Greg) Dalton; granddaughter-in-law, JoJo Jenkins; son, Jason (Angel) Workman and stepson Alex Dalton; brothers Jerry (Renee) Conley and Stuart (Penny) Trickler; grandchildren, Justin Jenkins, Josh Jenkins, Eric Stollings Jr, Nathan Ball, Cody Ball, Shaelynn Workman, Nevaeh Nelson, Alissa Workman, Chase (Deidra) Hicks, and Jaylee Jenkins; five great grand babies; special friend, Pribble Rose Jr; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and family.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 from 6:00-9:00pm at the Freeman Funeral Home

Services will be held at Thursday, April 30, 2026 at 1:00PM at Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Sloane officiating.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Edwin Copeland, Darren Nelson, Chase Hicks, Justin Jenkins, and Pribble Rose Jr.
