Raymond Darrell Fillinger

Raymond Darrell Fillinger, 73, of Verdunville, WV, departed this life on December 29, 2020 at Logan Regional Medical Center.

He was born November 3, 1947 in Verdunville, the son of the late James Blaine & Ella Spry Fillinger.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charlie Spry & Betty Ann (Workman) Spry and John Fillinger & Rosie Smith, two brothers, Ronnie Fillinger and Dennis “Dink” Fillinger, one brother in law, Chester Colston, and his father & mother-in-law, Leland & Mary Lieving.

Raymond enjoyed being a papaw and spending time with his family. He enjoyed camping with his wife on the old family property on Bulwark and he was a member of Mudfork Freewill Baptist Church. He loved to serve the Lord and fellowship.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Patti Lieving Fillinger; four daughters, Tabitha (Henry “CC”) Marcum, Chelcee Fillinger (Brandon Falbo), Alexis Fillinger and Ami Williams; two sons, Darrell Fillinger (Valerie Norris) and Chadd Fillinger (Chasity Rice); nine grandchildren, Kayla (Casey) Keith, Brittany Norris, Kurstyn Fillinger, Erica Fillinger, Nicholas Fillinger, Aaliyah “Peanut”, Bentley Falbo, Braelyn Falbo and Camron Gillikin; three sisters, Dottie Colston, Donna (Marion) Morris and Debbie (Ralph) Barker; two brothers, David (Lynn) Fillinger, and Donald (Anita) Fillinger; sister-in-law, Judy Barker Fillinger.

Services will be held at 1:00PM, Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Freeman Funeral Home with Darrell Newsome officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Old Logan Road, Chapmanville, WV.

Visitation will be on Sunday, January 3, 2021 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Chadd, Nicholas, David, Donald, Michael and Greg Fillinger, James Evans, Henry C. Marcum, Brandon Falbo, Camron Gillikin, Rick Woolwine, Ray Dillion, Colton Barker and Ronnie Messer.
