Randy Franklin Burgess, 64 of Madison, WV, formerly of Blair, WV, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024, at CAMC Memorial in Charleston, WV.

He was born January 4, 1960, in Madison, WV, the son of the late Everett William Burgess and Eva Ann Booth Burgess.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his only son, Raymond Allen Burgess, brothers, Robert Lee Burgess, Danny Jr “Pete” Burgess, David “Donnie Burgess” Meeks, Howard “Big Boy” Burgess, Raymond Burgess, Ronnie Burgess and Buddy Everett Burgess, and his sisters, Jewell Dean White, Cora “Tootsie” Williams and Reba Rosanna Speer.

Randy loved spending time outside, walking, working on automobiles, joking around with you, and making jokes. Randy was loved by his family and many friends an will be missed.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sister, Gladys Jean Smith of Danville, WV; his ex-wife, Jackie Burgess of Sissonville, WV; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held at 3:00pm, Monday, September 23, 2024 at Freeman Funeral Home with Joe Lane officiating.

Visitation will be on Monday, September 23, 2024 from 12:00pm until 3:00pm at the funeral home.
