Peter Husarick, 77 of Whitman, WV, departed this life February 14th, 2021 at his home.
Born at 5&6 Holden, WV April 30th, 1943, son of the late Steve and Rawse Husarick.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by, his wife of 35 years, Adie Mae Husarick, one son, Roger Lee Husarick, two brothers, Eugene Husarick of Wilsondale WV and Rush Sheppard of Ragland WV.
Those left to cherish his memory include one son, Tracy Rondale (Lori) Adams of Lenore WV; two daughters, Salina Fleming of Cleveland Ohio and Loretta “Chickle“ Husrarick of Whitman WV; five grandchildren, Tracy Pete Frye of Logan, WV, Alaina Lee Frye of Whites Addition WV, Mark Anthony (Hollie) Corns of Pecks Mill WV, Adeline Adams of Madison Creek WV, and Bryce Lee “Little Man“ Adkins of Whitman WV; two great grandkids, Ayden Lee Roberts of Whites Addition, WV, and Dezirae Noelle “Dezi” Corns of Pecks Mill WV; two brothers, Steve Husarick Jr of Beacon Falls, Connecticut, and Richard L Husarick of Cleveland, Ohio; three sisters, Minnie Bumgarner of Tampa Bay, Florida, Kay (Clyde) Akers of 5&6 Holden, and Catherine (ED) Dmitruk of Sterling Heights, Michigan; four nephews, Clyde (June Bug) Akers Jr of Switzer, WV, Brad (Denise) Akers of West Logan, WV, Brian Akers of 5&6 Holden, WV, and Kenny Bumgarner of Florida; and four nieces, Connie, Bonnie, Iva Joe of Florida, and Donna Buttersworth of Connecticut.
Peter served in the National Guard for 4 years. He was employed with Piston Coal Company for 13 years as an underground Coal Miner until he became paralyzed in a coal mining accident January 1983. Peter enjoyed hunting, He enjoyed participating in shooting matches. Peter was also a gun collector that took pride in restoring guns. He was a stern but hardworking man.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00PM, Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pecks Mill, WV with Pastor Lonnie Gore officiating.
Pallbearers will be Rondale Adams, Mark Corns, Tracy Frye, Brad Akers, Brian Akers, Junebug Akers, Brandon Akers and Josh Akers.
Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
