Peggy Ruth Whitt Obituary

Peggy Ruth Whitt, age 80, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 10, 2026, after a courageous battle with leukemia.
Born on April 2, 1945, Peggy shared 63 devoted years of marriage with her beloved husband, Delbert Whitt.
Together they built a family grounded in love and faith. She was a loving mother to her sons, Tony (Lisa) Whitt and Steven (Erika) Whitt. She was a proud grandmother to Kayla (Ryan) Froberg, Austin Whitt, Stephanie Whitt, and Ava Whitt, and a cherished great-grandmother to Baker Froberg.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lillie and Enoch Tomblin, and her siblings, Myrtle Kelly of Danville, West Virginia; Marie Rusnick of Cleveland, Ohio; Bonnie Tackett of Columbus, Ohio; and Sharon Blankenship of Danville, West Virginia.
She is also survived by her siblings, James Tomblin of Williamson, West Virginia; Millard Tomblin (Joan Whitt) of Crawley, West Virginia; Richard Tomblin (Linda) of Griffithsville, West Virginia; Marsha Dent of South Ridge, West Virginia; Carol (Mark) Sims of Chapmanville, West Virginia; and Regina (Brian) Workman of Verdunville, West Virginia.
Peggy’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family, and she found comfort singing and listening to gospel music, which reflected her strong faith in God. Peggy’s life was a testimony of love, perseverance, and strength. While she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing she is with Jesus, healed
and reunited with her family in heaven.
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul.” — Psalm 23
