Peggy J. Prince, nee Hodge, born July 5, 1949, in Chapmanville, WV, to loving parents Claude and Thelma Hodge, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025.
A resident of Switzer, WV, Peggy dedicated her life to serving others, retiring from Logan Mingo Area Mental Health after a fruitful career.
She was preceded in death by her devoted companion, Claude Yeager, her beloved parents’ brothers, and her former husband.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Raymond Prince Jr (Sarahi), Darla MacDonald (Richard), and Larry Prince. She was the proud grandmother of five grandchildren: John-Richard (Alec) MacDonald, Hannah MacDonald, Jesse Gonzales, Bella Prince, and Raymond Prince III. She is also survived by her loving sister Rhodetta Lambert and a host of nieces and nephews. Peggy also cherished her special friend Cindy Yeager Damron.
Peggy enjoyed the simple and best parts of life such as gardening, cooking, sewing, drawing, and spending time with her loved ones. Peggy's warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be February 8, 2025 from 10:00am – 11:00am at Freeman Funeral Home. Memorial service at 11:00am with E.A. Thompson officiating.
