Paula Campbell, 68, of Chapmanville, WV departed this life and into the next on August 28th, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Julia Maynard, her sisters, Lillie Kay Lawson and Susie Boytek, her dog, Ozzie, and her beloved son, Eric Von Campbell II.

She was the light of any room and a joy to all who were blessed to encounter her. Always optimistic and a social butterfly, she could find a friend anywhere.

She is lovingly and reverently missed by her husband of 34 years, Eric Von Campbell I, her daughter, Laura Campbell, her brothers, John and Robert Schoolcraft, and a host of loved ones and friends who she considered family.

The family would like to thank the staff at Cabell Huntington Hospital ICU, Cornerstone, Dr. Sydney Shepherd, and her friends and nurses, Brenda and Sarah, for their outstanding and compassionate care throughout the years.

Memorial Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at Freeman Funeral Home.

Memorial Services at 2:00pm on Wednesday, September 10, 2025  at the funeral home with Jimmy Carter officiating and she will be lovingly placed with her son and dog in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends and family can send their condolences to Freeman Funeral Home in Chapmanville, WV.
