Paul Howard Baldwin, 82 of Chapmanville, WV formerly of Blair, WV, departed this life on August 11, 2025 at the Lincoln Healthcare Center.

He was born May 13, 1943 in Blair, WV the son of the late Ollie & Velvie Baldwin.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Baldwin, his grandparents, Jinx & Allie Baldwin and Van & Allie McNeely, daughter, Angela Briggs, son, Jesse “Moe” Baldwin, grandson, Mark Joseph Brown, his father-in-law, Fred Dillon and his mother-in-law, Beulah Harris.

Paul enjoyed spending time with his family, mowing grass, and keeping up with family and friends on Facebook. He was a coal miner for 33 years.

Those left to cherish his memory include two daughters, Penny (Mike) Brown of Lick Creek and Beverly (Smiley) Lusk of Chapmanville; sons, Jeremy (Becky) Baldwin of Lake, Carl “Porky” Baldwin and Bobby Baldwin of Chapmanville; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and his very special friend of 50+ years, Rose Ferrell.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Lane officiating. Burial will follow at the Danville Memorial Park, in Danville, WV.

Visitation will be on Thursday, August 14, 2025 from 11:00am – 1:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Mike Brown, Smiley Lusk, Danny Maynard, Zack Baldwin, Jr. Lucas, and Nathan Lusk.
