Patricia (Pat) Ann Maynard Obituary

Patricia (Pat) Ann Maynard, 84, of Ripley, WV, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 23, 2025. Born in Logan, WV, she was one of seven children of the late Lillian Whitt. In 1958, she married Parris Maynard, and they settled in Flat Rock, MI, where they raised two children: Anita LaChance (John), of Burlington, CT, and Brian Maynard, of Cleveland, OH.
After the passing of her mother when she was just 18, Pat and Parris also lovingly raised three of her younger sisters: Donetta, Marylon, and Bobbie. She was a devoted grandmother to three grandchildren—Justin Price, Stacy (Price) Grenia, and Nathan LaChance—and was blessed with two great-grandchildren- Elliott Grenia and Wyatt Grenia. After retiring in 1995, she and Parris returned to their beloved home state of West Virginia.
Pat is survived by her husband of 67 years, Parris; her children; her siblings, Beulah (Whitt) Cremeans, of Whitman, WV; Donetta (Adams) Pack, of Redford, MI; Marylon (Adams) Dickson, of St. Albans, WV; Cassandra (Adams) Link, of McKinney, TX; and Willard Adams, of Whitman, WV; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Lillian; her sister, Bobbie Adams Price (Russell); and her grandson, Justin Price.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff of HospiceCare (Sam Sowards, Debbie Keefer, Diane Sams, Sara Pauley, and Pete Thompson) as well as to the many friends and extended family who offered their well-wishes, prayers, visits, and acts of kindness during this time.
In accordance with Pat’s wishes, in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to HospiceCare, 1606 Kanawha Blvd W, Charleston, WV 25387, hospicecarewv.org.
“Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: ‘Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.’”
- Proverbs 31:28-29
