Patricia Ann Browning, 72, of Harts, WV, departed this life on Sunday, December 30, 2024 at 
her residence.
She was born December 20, 1952 in West Hamlin, WV, the daughter of the late Edward 
(Ervin) Black and Faye Watts Black.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death her grandparents Elbert and Hattie Watts 
and Green and Edith Cook; her father and mother-in-law, Frank and Rudy Browning and 
Don and Garrnet Adkins; two sisters, Thelma Barnes and Joyce Watts; one brother, Mitchell 
Black; and brother and sister-in-law, Wetzel and Irene Browning
Patty enjoyed going to church, spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Danny Browning Sr.; two sons, Danny 
(Diane) Browning Jr. and Michael (Ericka) Browning; two sisters, Violet (Robert) Watts and 
Diane (Jackie) Mounts; two brothers, Virgle (Retha) Black and Billy (Linda) Black; one 
sister-in-law, Joan Adkins; six grandchildren, Kohl (Dezi) Maynard, Zack Browning, Tristan 
Browning, Kara Browning, Kyle Browning, and Cody Browning; five great-grandchildren, 
Sophie, Ella, Kohlsyn, Oaklynn, and Huntley; and a special thanks to nurse Leann Vance of 
Dignity Hospice and Dr. Mitchell and his nurse Kayla.
Services will be held at 12:00 PM, Saturday, January 4, 2025 at East Fork Freewill Baptist 
with Pastor Earnest Vance officiating. Burial will follow at Browning Cemetery, Harts, WV.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 3, 2024 from 6:00-10:00 pm at East Fork Freewill 
Baptist.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
