Oval Glen Blevins, 57, of Chapmanville, formerly of Wyoming County, departed this life on September 28, 2022 at Logan Regional Medical Center.
He was born September 9, 1965 in Mullens, WV, the son of the late Bailey and Junie Blevins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wilson & Lizzie Blevins and Goldie & Sam Kistner, one brother, Russell Blevins, two nieces, Delores Jean Blevins and Danielle Hensley, two nephews, Michael Dingess and James Brandon Mullins and his sister-in-law, Geneva Farley Blevins.
Glen enjoyed talking on the phone, watching westerns, listening to country music, spending time with his family, friends and special nephew, Xayden Watts and going on road trips especially to Ohio to get White Castles.
Those left to cherish his memory include four sisters, Sharon Blevins and Kelly McNeely of Crawley, Betty (Clifford) Hensley and Mary Mullins both of Switzer, and Patricia Dingess of Chapmanville; three brothers, Roger (Darlene) Blevins of Lick Creek, Bert Blevins and Patricia Cook of Big Ugly, and Billy Blevins of Chapmanville; one special cousin, Greta Maynard; special friends, Sharon Adkins, Almeda McCloud, Francis Smith, Charles Miller, Bernard Hager, Chuck Adams, and Doobie Brewster; his ride or die partner, Kathy Conley Hensley; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members. (If I missed anyone I am sorry).
The family would like to thank the nurses in CCU at Logan Regional Medical Center, Dr. Waris, Dr. Marzouk his assistant, Tracie, and everyone that prayed for Glen. We appreciate everything you have done for him and us.
Services will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, October 6, 2022 at Freeman Funeral Home with Ricky Conley and Manuel Hensley officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Old Logan Road, Chapmanville, WV.
Visitation will be on Monday, October 3, 2022 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Freeman Funeral Home to help with arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Bert Blevins, Devin Blevins, Charles Miller, Leroy Hensley Jr, Kelly McNeely, Jamie Blevins, Brandon Hand, Bernard Hager and Chuck Adams.
