Norman Williamson, 76 of Verdunville, WV, departed this life on May 9, 2024 at his residence.
He was born August 6, 1947 in Logan, WV the son of the late Wayne & Myrtle Williamson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Hi C Williamson, five brothers-in-law, Sherman Baisden Jr, Jimmy Finley, Allen Blackburn, Randy Maynard and Charlie Patterson, two sisters-in-law, Hassie Conley and Norma Williamson, niece, Vickie Williamson and nephew, J.R. Baisden.
Norman enjoyed spending time with the love of his life and his six grandchildren. When he wasn't spending time with his family and friends Norman like to fish and watch his beloved westerns. He loved to make others laugh and smile with his jokes.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 55 years, Cassie Williamson; daughter, Lavonne (Randy) Strickland; son, Norman Lee (Sonja) Williamson; brother, Clark Williamson; grandchildren, Jodi (Kenny) Tyler, Cody (Tia) Williamson, Tristan (Katelyn) Strickland, Kaleb (Lauren) Williamson, Austin Strickland and Camron Williamson; sisters-in-law, Kathy (Jerry) Copley, Lassie Blackburn (Eddie Burke), Vella Baisden, Sally Maynard, Sandra Patterson, Loma Williamson; brothers-in-law, Elvis (Debbie) Baisden, Bo (Sylvia) Baisden, Darrell Conley and Billy Grimmett (Donna); and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 1:00pm, Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Mt. Hope Freewill Baptist Church with James Ed Baisden officiating. Burial will follow at the Baisden Cemetery, Twelve Pole, Dingess, WV with Masonic graveside rites.
Visitation will be on Monday, May 13, 2024 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at the church.
Pallbearers will be Cody Williamson, Kaleb Williamson, Camron Williamson, Tristan Strickland, Austin Strickland, Kenny Tyler, George Baisden, and Charlie Williamson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Norman Lee Williamson, Clark Williamson, Elvis Baisden, Jerry Copley, Bo Baisden, Bill Baisden, Adrian Baisden, Jerry Copley Jr, Shannon Blackburn and Arnie Vance.
Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
