Nettie Mae (Runyon, Evans) Picklesimer, 76 of Trace Creek, WV, was called home to be with the Lord, whom she was devoted to and worshiped daily, on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at her residence.
She was born April 23, 1947 in Myrtle, WV the daughter of the late Kenny & Marie Runyon.
In addition to her loving parents, she was preceded in death by two dedicated husbands, Franklin Evans Sr and Danny Picklesimer, two brothers, Grover Runyon and Howard Runyon, one sister, Mable Curry and three brothers-in-law, Michael Picklesimer, Derl Curry, and Jerry Picklesimer, whom she missed on a daily basis.
Nettie enjoyed reading her bible, making scarves, baking, playing rummy and dice and spending time with her family.
Those left to celebrate her life and cherish her memory include two loving sons that were her pride, Frankie Jr (Roberta) Evans and David I (Regina) Evans; nine grandchildren that she adored, Robert “Robbie”, Joshua “Josh” (Sarah), David II “Little Dave” (Morgan), Christian “Isaiah”, Matthew “Matt”, Austin “Lee”, Makayla “Kayla”, Chris (Paige) and Casy (Catlin); seven great-grandchildren that brought her joy, Evelyn, Ella, Eli, Aurora, Cam, Kory, and Casley; three brothers, William “Bill” (Brenda) Runyon, Nick (Linda) Runyon, Sr, and Wayne (Teresa) Runyon; one sister, Diana Picklesimer; three sisters-in-law, Brenda Runyon, Phyllis Runyon and Margaret Picklesimer; and a host of extended family including cousins, nephews, nieces, her church family and countless friends.
Services will be held at 12:00pm, Sunday, May 28, 2023 at Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Joaquine Ooten officiating. Burial will be at 12:00pm on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Highland Memory Gardens, Old Logan Road, Chapmanville, WV.
Visitation will be on Sunday, May 28, 2023 from 11:00am until 12:00pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be her beloved grandsons.
