Naomi Ruth Courts of Charleston, WV, departed this life on March 1, 2025, at the Valley Center in Charleston, WV.

She was born in Stirrat, WV the daughter of the late William and Ruth Courts.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Jimmy Courts, two sisters, Carol Atkins and Betty Wilkins, one granddaughter, Crystal Dawn Oney and two sons-in-law, Bobby Stowers and Joe Adkins.

Naomi was a retired sales lady with 33 years of service with Weiners Army & Navy Store and Sayre Brothers Department Store. She also worked for Logan County Schools as a cook for 7 years and drove the van for Pride in Logan for 3 years. Naomi was a member of the Chapmanville Woman's Club and of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed time spent with her children and grandchildren. Naomi loved her sweet little dogs that brought so much love and blessings into her life, you never saw her without one of them in her arms.

Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Karen Sue Stowers (David) Cupler and Nancy Ann Adkins; two sons, Dickie (Deloris) White and Ricky (Terry) White; two sisters, Barb Sasser and Sherlene Daily; four brothers, Billy (Shirley) Courts, Ronnie (Ollie) Courts, Leonard Rockel and Johnny (Lois) Courts; seven grandchildren, Bobby L. Stowers, Trevie Oney, Misty Weisenberger, Shane Stowers, Kenny White, Chris Brewer and Stacy White; nine great-grandchildren, Derek Stowers, Eli Stowers, Clayton Brown, Reese Stowers, Tyler Oney, Shalyn Stowers, Millicent Weisenberger, Ember Brewer, and Kiahna Dennis; and two great-great grandchildren, Raiden Stowers and Tyler Sperry II.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel Dent officiating. Entombment will follow at the Highland Memory Gardens, Old Logan Road, Chapmanville, WV.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 12:00pm until 1:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be David Cupler, Derek Stowers, Eli Stowers, Larry Mullins, Leonard Rockel and Tyler Oney.
