Nancy L. Adams, 71 who resided on Tim's fork, Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on September 20, 2024, at the Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, WV after a few years of battling some health issues.
She was born July 29, 1953 in Detroit, MI the daughter of the late George A. and Gladys (Tremonti) Canfield.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Ella Marie Mullins; father-in-law- Turley Adams; son- Derick Shane Mullins; daughter- Lorrie Lynn Adams; brothers- George and Danny Canfield; sisters- Majorie (Charlie) Garza, Patricia Fish, Rose Canfield, Linda Baldrige; brothers-in-law- Jackie Mullins, and Thurmond Adams, and sisters-in-law- Sheila Mullins and Alta Mullins Moore.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters- Rhonda (Dwayne) Dingess and Tonya (Joe) Butcher; grandchildren- Cody Dingess (Chalisse Skeens), Adam Dingess, Larry Butcher (Cheyenne Craddock), Summer Butcher (Jacob Dingess), Kaytlyn Powell (Nick Hager), Keedin Dingess, Axyl Hager, and Colton, and Baylee Mullins; great grandson- Joseph Colt Butcher; step-mother-in-law- Violet Adams; brothers, Bill (Paula) Canfield, Donny Canfield; sister, Marian Lindenbaum; brothers and sisters-in-law- Leland (Brenda) Adams, Lionel Adams, Aileen (David) White, Anita Adams; the father of her children, Ralph (Karen) Adams and their children, Morgan, Monica and Colin Adams, whom she cared for deeply; daughter-in-law- Stephanie (Brandon) Burns; Nancy was like a second mother to her niece, Kimberly Lindenbaum and two nephews, Scottie and Erik Mullins.
Services will be held at 1:00pm, Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at Freeman Funeral Home with Vivie Marcum officiating. Burial will follow at the United as One Family Memorial Garden, Tim's Fork, Chapmanville, WV.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 from 6:00pm-9:00pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be: Cody Dingess, Adam Dingess, Larry Butcher, Jacob Dingess, Nick Hager, Joe Butcher, and Dwayne Dingess.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Ralph Adams and Virgil Dingess.
Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
