Nancy Ellen Marcum, 81 of Verdunville, WV, departed this life on August 21, 2025 at her residence.

She was born January 17, 1944 in Cove Gap, WV the daughter of the late Ernest & Wavie Vance.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Craig Marcum, one great grandson, Brodie Marcum and several brothers and sisters.

Nancy enjoyed bowling, going to church, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Willis Marcum Jr; a very special daughter-in-law, Rhonda Marcum; grandchildren, Britneigh (Marcus) McCoy, Craig (Linsey) Marcum, Zachary (Shelby) Marcum, Paige (Marlon) Marcum and Timi Marcum; great grandchildren, Zoe McCoy, Nicholas McCoy, Jagger Allen Marcum, Timothy Croix Marcum, Leighton Brooks Marcum, Raegan Everly Marcum, Sienna June Marcum and Maddax Psalm Webb; her special niece and caregiver, Shelia (Rickey) Christian; one brother, Dave (Diane) Vance; one sister, Brenda Sue (Michael) Tackett; and a host of other family and friends.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Ernest Ray Vance officiating. Burial will follow at the Marcum Cemetery at Verdunville.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
